James Ostman

Richard Robinson

James brings experience in administrative law, estate planning, and criminal defense to MPL. As a current Judge Advocate in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, his background centers on the broad aspects of military and international law. While assisting in municipal matters and commercial transactions, James’ focus will be on developing an intellectual property practice entailing patent, trademark and copyright law.

James has recently completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He attended law school at Duquesne University and college at Mount Saint Mary’s University. While in law school, James served as a legal extern in U.S. Federal District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania. While serving as an Officer in the U.S. Army, James has performed combat deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait, and is currently appointed as the Brigade Judge Advocate for the PA Guard’s 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team. He anticipates sitting for the U.S. Patent Registration Examination later this year and looks forward to assisting clients safeguard their innovative designs and efforts. James lives with his wife Stacy, daughter Kennedy, and dog Compton in Enola PA. James practices throughout the Commonwealth of PA.
