“We are on a mission from God”; The Importance of Business Mission Statements
If you are old enough to remember The Blues Brothers, the gist of the story is that the two brothers set out to prevent the foreclosure of the Catholic orphanage where they were raised. Said better by Elwood Blues, “We are on a mission from God”. It was clear in the movie what they were doing and why they were doing it. Do you know what your company is about or why it exists? If you don’t know the answer, then you probably have a company that does not have a well thought out mission or vision statement.
