Stephanie J. Kogut

Steph brings experience in divorcechild custody and support, property tax assessment litigation and debt collection, as well as various tenants of municipal and school law to MPL.  Steph also serves as court-appointed counsel for children in dependency actions while also representing parents on the other side of the aisle.  Although focusing on client-centered mediation and settlement, Steph has taken child custody, support and divorce cases to trial and has assisted on child custody appeals before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Steph has maintained an extensive residential and commercial property tax assessment practice while representing both property owners and taxing bodies.  Steph, a Dallastown High School graduate, returned to the area after practicing for several years Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she specialized in family law and property tax assessment. She has been licensed to practice in the Commonwealth since 2014. While in law school, Steph acted as a certified legal intern for the Allegheny County Family Law Clinic where she drafted and presented Petitions and Motions to Allegheny County Family Division judges on behalf of indigent clients. She looks forward to continuing to assist clients in working towards closure in some of the most difficult periods of the life.
